A card reader is part of our ongoing commitment to making your online banking experience as secure as possible. It is easy to use and you will be prompted while logged into online banking when you need to use it.
IвЂ™ve forgotten my username
If you’ve forgotten your username, simply visit our online banking login page and select ‘I have forgotten my security details or username’. You’ll then be taken to a screen where you will be asked to reset your details. Please select ‘I’ve forgotten my username’ and then enter your email address. We’ll send it to your specified email address within a couple of hours.
I don’t have a card reader, but need to reset my login details
If you do not have a card reader, please call us on 0345 602 0055. Call charges.
I need to reset my security code and password
If you’ve forgotten your password or security code, please reset them by choosing ‘I have forgotten my security details or username’ link on the online banking login screen.
Once we’ve confirmed your username, you’ll be taken through a couple of security questions in order to validate your request. Having answered the security questions, you’ll be able to reset your password and security code.

If youвЂ™re calling from the UK, calls to 0800 and 0808 numbers are free from landlines and mobiles; calls to 03 numbers cost the same as calls to numbers starting with 01 and 02; calls to 0845 and 0870 numbers cost 3p per minute, plus your phone companyвЂ™s access charge; calls to 0844 and 0843 numbers cost 7p per minute, plus your phone companyвЂ™s access charge. Charges for calls made outside of the UK will be determined by your local provider.
